Profile: 【研究活動】湖や河川、サンゴ礁など、浅い水域に生息する魚類等を対象に、生息地の空間構造と多種共存機構について、行動観察の手法を用いて研究している。高解像度航空写真画像を野外観察に用いることにより、景観要素に注目しながら生息地の利用パターンを解析できるようにした。生息地の構造を鋳型として、必然的に種間ネットワークが成立する仕組みをモデル化したい。 【教育活動】1999年に環境教育湖沼実習センターから情報教育課程環境情報コースに移動。その後、2000年にシステム情報コース、06年に理数情報コース、12年には教員養成課程情報・技術教育専攻/専修へと改組され、17年には理科教育専攻/専修へ移動(生物担当)となった。授業科目の改変や新規開講により、内容の充実に努めてきた。2015年より大学入門セミナー運営部会の責任者として、内容の整理と充実に努めている。 【社会的活動】 石垣島白保のサンゴ礁の保全をめざし、WWFとも協力して調査中。 【学内行政職務】研究科企画運営委員(2019-)免許更新講習実施委員(2015-16)学務委員(2012-13)学生委員(2010-11)教育実習委員(2006-07;2014) 就職支援委員(2000-08; 2019) 入試運営・プログラム委員(2004-05) 教育改革推進委員(2002-3;2017-18) 公開講座委員(2000-1;8)等
